Bottom line
The genuine Levoit Core 300 replacement cartridge (Amazon ASIN B07RV1XLV4, part number Core 300-RF-PA in the Yellow Pet Allergy configuration) is engineered specifically for the compact 8.7 x 8.7 x 14.2 inch Levoit Core 300, Core 300-P, and Core 300S-P air purifier housings. Its 3-stage cylindrical drum combines a fine pre-filter, main HEPA-style particle layer, and high-efficiency activated carbon to maintain the host purifier's 219 sq ft coverage and 141–145 CFM CADR ratings; verify your purifier's bottom label before ordering because it will not fit Core 200S or Core 400S.

Research details
Exact housing compatibility: Core 300 / 300-P / 300S-P vs other Levoit models
Ordering the wrong cylindrical drum size is the most frequent maintenance mistake among Levoit owners. Amazon listing B07RV1XLV4 (part Core 300-RF-PA) is built exclusively for the Levoit Core 300 family, including the Core 300, Core 300-P, and smart Core 300S-P units, which share an 8.7 x 8.7 x 14.2 inch, 6.0 lb housing. Check the model sticker on the underside of your purifier before buying: this cartridge will not seal inside the smaller Core Mini / Core 200S or the taller 20.5-inch Core 400S chamber.
Inside the 3-stage Pet Allergy filter architecture (Core 300-RF-PA)
The B07RV1XLV4 listing features the Yellow Pet Allergy 3-stage cartridge configuration. An outer fine non-woven pre-filter captures coarse pet dander, lint, and hair; the middle True HEPA-style pleated media traps fine airborne particulates while supporting quiet 24–48 dB operation and HEPA Sleep Mode; and the inner high-efficiency activated carbon layer targets pet odors and household cooking fumes.
How filter loading impacts Core 300S CADR and 219 sq ft room turnover
In published manufacturer and AHAM specifications, the Levoit Core 300S host unit delivers Clean Air Delivery Rates of 141 CFM for smoke, 141 CFM for dust, and 145 CFM for pollen across a 219 sq ft room while drawing 38 W. Those airflow benchmarks depend on unimpeded static pressure across the cylindrical media. Once fine dust saturates the pleated core after months of continuous use, actual cubic feet per minute drop and the unit takes longer to clear a bedroom.
Routine pre-filter vacuuming vs full cartridge replacement
Every two to four weeks, unplug the purifier, twist open the bottom base cap, and gently brush or vacuum pet hair off the outer pre-filter screen. Surface cleaning prevents premature airflow choking, but it cannot restore saturated interior HEPA fibers or spent activated carbon granules. Replace the entire drum when the panel indicator or VeSync app alerts you, or sooner if household odors persist.
Installation steps and Amazon checkout verification
When your replacement filter arrives, remove the sealed protective plastic bag completely before seating the cartridge into the inverted purifier housing and locking the base cover clockwise. Plug the purifier back in and hold the filter reset button (or reset via the VeSync app). Before checking out on Amazon, confirm whether you are selecting the 1-pack or a twin-pack bundle and verify the filter color variant that matches your indoor air priorities.
